John L. Magee Owner
John has over 30 years experience in the Restaurant business. His career started as a dishwasher at the age of 16. He worked his way around the industry as a line cook, waiter, manager, catering and craft service for the film industry and now is the proud owner of The Secret Tea Room.
Jason Magee has been in the restaurant industry for over 23 years. He started as a busboy and worked his way around the industry as a pizza boy, waiter, line cook, sous' chef at the Undercurrent on Battleground in Greensboro, manager, executive chef at the Greensboro coliseum, and worked with John Fleer at the world renowned Blackberry Inn with a 5 star rating. Jason designs our menu and prepares our dishes with the love and flair of any real artist. ...Bon
Suzan Magee and her family have been in the restaurant business for over 40 years. Suzan's Father and Mother opened, "The Lobster Pot" in 1968, Located in WaWa Pennsylvania. Her experience extends from the kitchen, (washing dishes and plating, not cooking) to Dining room service. Her favorite dish is soft shelled crabs, lightly breaded and sauteed with asparagus and mushrooms. Suzan is our quality control expert and makes sure that all dishes are up to the families standards.
Mike Magee has recently joined the industry and has shown his proficiency as a baker, line chef, assistant floor manager and waiter. Mike is well schooled in steeping the perfect pot of tea. Just ask him to suggest the best tea paring for your meal. Ana is poising with Mike during our Harry Potter celebration.
Hanna Magee (on right) and her BFF Savanna. Hanna is the youngest of our family, but by no means a newcomer to the industry. She helps out on Saturdays on the floor and has the best attitude to serving our guests. Her father, Jason, has helped mature her pallet and she can spot a good crab cake.
John "Zeek" Meyers, 3rd from the left, is Suzan's brother and keeps the kitchen hopping with his music and quick wit. All the men in this family are chefs in their own right. Michael Ryan Meyers, (2nd from the left) is a vegetarian and has succeeded in tempting us with dishes he creates. (confirmed meat and potato family that we are). Michael Patrick Meyers, (2nd from the right), is a former owner of a seafood restaurant and currently works as a food broker (top broker 4 years consecutively).
